Trinity Kids is all about helping kids grow in faith through Jesus Christ.
At Trinity, we believe children are uniquely made for a relationship with their Creator and deserve a safe, age-appropriate learning environment for that to happen. We strive to make each child feel welcomed and loved. We offer age-specific Bible study classes every Sunday morning. Each class includes Bible study, life application, connection with peers, and lots of fun, creative learning opportunities.

Sasha Rodriguez
Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Sasha has been part of Trinity since 1998. After serving at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Honduras, where she met her husband, Victor, she returned to Trinity. They have two daughters, Noelia and Emelie. Sasha became a Christ follower at age 9 and grew up in a home focused on serving Christ and others. She has volunteered in student, media, and children’s ministries and is now excited to help children and families grow in God’s Word and make disciples.

Do you require background checks for volunteers? What are the safety and security measures in place?
Absolutely. All employees are required to undergo thorough background checks as part of our hiring process. Our team is trained in and follows comprehensive safety measures, including screening, clear policies, and procedures, alongside regular monitoring and oversight. We strictly comply with the reporting obligations set forth by the state of Louisiana, ensuring accountability and transparency in our operations. For check-in and check-out, we use a secure electronic system that prints name tags for each child. This ensures every child is accounted for as they enter and leave our care.
What is MinistrySafe and how does it protect children?
All our staff members are required to complete MinistrySafe training every two years. MinistrySafe is a trusted program founded by legal experts in child protection and abuse prevention. This training equips our team to recognize, prevent, and respond to potential risks, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for children. By partnering with MinistrySafe, we join over 20,000 organizations worldwide in prioritizing child safety and giving families peace of mind.
What is the age range for the children's ministry?
Trinity Kids studies and activities are suited for children ages birth–preschool and in grades K–5th grade.

Do you baptize kids?
Absolutely! We love partnering with parents to help explain next steps after trusting Jesus as Savior. Parents and kids learn together as we discuss what it means to be a follower of Christ, the single most important decision anyone will make.
