We understand that trust is vital. We adhere to strict confidentiality policies to ensure that your sessions remain a safe space for you to open up and work through your challenges.
We believe that everyone should have access to compassionate care. That’s why counseling services are offered at a discounted rate for members of Trinity Baptist Church. Members can schedule a session for $30, while the rate for non-members is $60. Each session lasts 40-50 minutes. Payment is accepted before the session via cash, check, or credit/debit card.
Counseling is viewed as a process in which the client and the counselor have come to understand and trust one another. This trust enables us to work as a team to explore and define present problematic situations, develop future goals for an improved life, and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing and accomplishing these goals.
Associate Pastor of Counseling
Kevin has a B.A. from Leavell of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Kevin is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. He and his wife, Krystal, are Louisiana natives, have been married over 30 years, and have four children. Kevin brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the Trinity Staff having served as a pastor, professional counselor, and active duty military.
In your first session, Kevin will spend time getting to know you and understanding the challenges you’re facing. The goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing. Together, you’ll discuss what brought you to counseling, explore your goals, and outline a plan for moving forward.
No, you don’t need to be a Christian to seek help here. While we offer counseling from a Christian worldview, our aim is to provide compassionate care to anyone in need, regardless of their beliefs. We respect each person’s unique background and will tailor our approach to what works best for you.
Each session typically lasts between 40-50 minutes. This time frame allows us to make meaningful progress while respecting your schedule.
The number of sessions varies depending on the individual or couple’s needs. Some may find relief in a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer-term approach. We’ll regularly evaluate your progress and make adjustments to the plan as needed.
Yes, confidentiality is a foundational part of our practice. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Kevin Richard follows strict ethical guidelines to ensure your privacy. What you share in your sessions stays between you and Kevin, except in situations where there is a legal obligation to report, such as harm to yourself or others.
We strive to make counseling accessible to everyone. If you are a member of Trinity Baptist Church, you can receive counseling at a discounted rate of $30 per session. The rate for non-members is $60 per session. If finances are a concern, please don’t hesitate to discuss this with us, as there may be additional resources or support available.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee, so we can offer the time slot to someone else in need.
