Kevin Richard
Church Counselor
Kevin is a licensed professional counselor married over 35 years to Krystal, the love of his life. They both grew up in church and met during a church event at Acadian Baptist Center in Eunice, Louisiana. Kevin grew up on a rice, soybean and crawfish farm and was saved at Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church in Branch, Louisiana, at the age of 7. One year after graduating high school he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he was assigned to live with the U.S. Army as a TACP controlling Close Air Support aircraft. After exiting active duty, he remained at Ft. Polk working with a variety of pyrotechnics in support of the Joint Readiness Training Center.
Later, Kevin earned a B.A. degree from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He then served as senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Eunice, LA for almost seven years while completing his M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has served as Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) director at Family & Youth, as well as a treatment provider for Calcasieu Parish Drug and DWI Court. He joined the Trinity team in 2015 and loves helping people in their journey through life. Kevin has also served as an adjunct professor for the Leavell College Extension enter.
The Richards have four adult children and five grandchildren. They love doing things together like walking, gardening, and other projects around the house. Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He is thankful to be a part of what God is doing here at Trinity and in the lives of His people.
