Trinity Kids Preschool
Responsible for teaching the children assigned to her class. Maintain and organize a Trinity Kids Preschool classroom. Establish Christ-centered relationships with children, parents and co-workers. A Trinity Kids Preschool Teacher needs a basic understanding of developmental ages and stages of preschoolers. The teacher must plan and prepare age appropriate activities for the class. The preschool teacher should be able to interact with parents and co-workers in a professional and loving manner. Must have personal relationship with Christ and a member of this church or a church of like faith and beliefs. The teacher must desire to develop and nurture positive relationships with children, parents and co-workers . They must be willing to follow all church Trinity Kids Preschool policies and be a positive representative of Trinity Baptist Church.
Responsibilities
- There is to be a worker in the room at all times. A child should never be left alone.
- Always maintain a moderate voice level and positive attitude while caring for children
- Greet all parents and children in a pleasant and friendly manner
- Create an atmosphere of love for each child and provide for all their needs
- Never use physical punishment or verbal abuse
- Keep baby beds changed, toys sterilized, and materials and supplies in order
- Leave room in a clean and orderly fashion (picking up toys, cleaning up large food pieces, placing soiled diapers in tied bag, etc)
- Teach proper bathroom procedures (flushing toilets, washing hands, wiping self, etc.) Soiled diapers should be disposed of properly in diaper bags that are provided. Place garbage bags in trash closet after session is over. Always keep the door open when taking a child into the restroom
- Make sure all children’s belongings are marked and each child receives his/her own things
- Responsible for class activities at childcare times
- Be willing to learn new ideas, use them and attend training sessions when they are provided
- Be consistent with rules of the room by teaching the children proper use of items
- Be an example. Never do anything you don’t want the children doing. Be willing to work and play with the children and not just sit and watch them
- The security check-in system is to always be used. ALL preschoolers must be checked in by parent before entering the classroom. Parents must present an out slip when picking up the child. Always release a child to a parent or approved adult, never to another child.
