Trinity Center Director
The Director of the Trinity Center is a full-time position responsible for overseeing and administering the programs, facilities, and operations of the Trinity Center. This includes child and adult fitness programs, the gymnasium, Upward Sports, and other center-based activities. The Director will ensure the Trinity Center functions with excellence and is well-integrated into the broader mission and ministries of Trinity Baptist Church. This role involves managing programs and events that serve both the church family and the community while supporting and resourcing other ministries of the church.
This role requires a committed follower of Christ with strong character, leadership ability, and a heart for connecting fitness and community engagement with the life of the church. This includes a clear salvation experience and and active, committed membership at Trinity Baptist Church. The Director should bring professional experience in the areas of program and facility management, business and organizational skills, recreational and physical education, and the ability to lead staff and volunteers with excellence.
Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, coordination, promotion, execution, and evaluation of a balanced program of fitness, recreation, and wellness activities for all ages.
- Align programs with the mission of Trinity Baptist Church, integrating them with existing church ministries and organizational structures whenever possible.
- Offer core programs such as fitness classes, pickleball, Upward Sports, leagues, tournaments, and wellness education, while also developing new initiatives (e.g., community runs, water activities, health classes).
- Regularly evaluate program goals, effectiveness, and alignment with church objectives.
- Market the Trinity Center as a family-oriented ministry resource for both the church and the community.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to maintain updated website and social media content.
- Utilize media and community partnerships to promote activities and strengthen outreach.
- Intentionally design Trinity Center programs as both “in-reach” to church members and outreach to the broader community, with the goal of connecting people to Christ.
- Ensure the Trinity Center is well-maintained, clean, and serviceable at all times.
- Supervise the care, repair, storage, and purchase of all equipment and supplies.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and life-cycle planning for facility equipment.
- Maintain accurate files, records, and calendars related to facility and ministry functions.
- Supervise all Trinity Center staff and volunteers, fostering a healthy and effective ministry culture.
- Develop and manage the Trinity Center’s operational budget in line with church policies and procedures.
- Work in coordination with the Executive Pastor of Ministries and other staff members to ensure ministry alignment and support.
- Model Christlike character and maintain a ministry approach that honors Jesus Christ.
- Strive to integrate spiritual growth and gospel impact into all Trinity Center activities.
- Serve as a leader who inspires confidence, cooperation, and commitment to the mission of Trinity Baptist Church.
