Your primary concern is making sure Trinity grounds are neat and well-kept at all times, protecting against erosion and ensuring assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. Must be able to communicate politely and professionally with the customers. Physically fit, agile and efficient as the job involves a lot of manual labor work. Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail. Capable of working for long hours consistently. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: operate hand tools and small tractor. Though no formal education is required, a high school education is preferred. On-the-job training or minimum work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Watering all grass, flowerbeds and trees on a regular scheduled cycle
  • Maintaining sprinkler system lines and heads for proper area coverage
  • Maintaining the water well on scheduled preventive maintenance periods
  • Put Weed and Feed type fertilizer down periodically to make the lawn and other shrubberies receive the proper nutrition and control weeds
  • Deweed flower beds and fence lines when needed
  • Techs sometimes have to plant grass seeds or lay sod after the ground has been prepared
  • Trim shrubberies, trees and other bushes and make sure the yard is neat and in order
  • Plant new trees, shrubberies, flowers and other vegetation placed in different areas of the yard
  • Perform preventative maintenance monthly on grounds equipment
  • Mow and trim grass as needed
