Summer with Spurgeon: Evening Men’s Group

  • Details

Wednesdays, June 4–August 6 in the Parlor (enter on the West side)
Morning and evening sessions at 6:30am and 6:00pm

Join us Wednesday mornings or evenings this summer for a time of prayer, devotional study, and fellowship centered on the teachings of Charles Spurgeon—one of the most widely read and respected preachers in church history.

    Why Spurgeon?

Spurgeon began preaching as a teenager after a snowstorm led him to a chapel and a life-changing encounter with Christ. His sermons reached millions, rooted in deep theology and a clear focus on the cross.

Though he battled depression, Spurgeon’s honesty and trust in God shaped a ministry full of compassion and clarity. He had a sharp wit and found joy in everyday moments—storms, nature, stillness.

New to Spurgeon or already a fan? Either way, this summer gathering is a chance to grow in faith and connect with other men, whether you’re starting your day or closing our in the Word.

  • "You are no saint,” says the devil. Well, if I am not, I am a sinner, and Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Sink or swim, I go to Him; other hope I have none.
