This summer, Trinity is heading north to serve alongside one of our long-standing mission partners—Canvas Church in Victoria, British Columbia. Canvas is reaching one of the most post-Christian cities in North America with humility, courage, and Gospel clarity.

Each year, we join them to support their summer sports camp—a key outreach that connects with local families, builds trust, and creates space for Gospel conversations in a culture where Jesus is often misunderstood or simply unknown.

But isn’t this just a glorified family vacation?

Though 53.3% of Canadians still identify as Christian, over one-third now claim no religion—a number that’s climbed from just 4% in 1971.¹ In British Columbia, that number exceeds 50%. This isn’t a culture hardened by rejection of the Gospel—it’s one shaped by unfamiliarity. Many kids and families in Victoria haven’t walked away from Jesus; they’ve never had someone clearly introduce Him.

Canvas exists to change that. They’re committed to meeting people where they are and pointing them to Christ—through relationships, community presence, and consistent Gospel witness. Their sports camp is one of the ways they do that well.

Pastor Ashley visits Trinity every spring to share updates, and each summer, we send a team to serve—not as tourists, but as partners in a long-term mission. This isn’t a one-time trip; it’s part of an ongoing relationship rooted in Gospel work.

    Why We Go

Paul asks in Romans 10:14, “How can they believe in Him if they’ve never heard about Him?”

That’s the heart behind this trip. We go to serve, encourage, and make Jesus known—one conversation, one connection at a time.

    Ready to Be a Part?

Pray for our team. Pray for the families in Victoria. And if you feel led to take part, sign up or reach out—we’d love to help you take the next step!
