David Rose
Senior Pastor
David is the husband of Rachel, the father of Cassia, Hallie, and Gabe, and the pastor of Trinity since January 2024. Originally from Mt. Pleasant, Texas, David ministered in East Texas from 1994 to 2023 after beginning his ministry during his undergraduate days at Northwestern State in Natchitoches from 1990-1994. While ministering in East Texas, David attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth for his master’s and doctoral work.
David enjoys family time, jogging, Coke Zero, and afternoon naps. He had the joy of broadcasting more than 500 high school football and basketball games for the Rugged Red of Winnsboro High School during his ministry days in Winnsboro.
In March 1979 David asked Christ to be his Savior and Lord, and, in July 1983, Christ called David to a deeper commitment. Faith was more than being good and going to church. This relationship with Christ was to impact others. The call to growth and surrender helped David answer Christ’s call to ministry in the summer of 1988.
When God called the Roses to Lake Charles, He used Colossians 1:27-29 as a formative passage. David hopes the people of Trinity grow daily in their reliance on and love for Jesus. He prays the members learn to celebrate the gospel together and help one another mature in Christ. He looks forward to watching the maturing members reach those who are near them but who are far from God by sharing the glorious wealth of Jesus, the hope of glory within them.
David has served in every area of ministry within the local church, and he is passionate about helping every member make disciples who make disciples.
