David is the husband of Rachel, the father of Cassia, Hallie, and Gabe, and the pastor of FBC since September 2006. His family roots are in Winnsboro, Texas and the surrounding area. David enjoys family time, jogging, Cherry Coke Zero, and afternoon naps.

In March 1979 I asked Christ for his salvation, and in July 1983, he called me to a deeper commitment. Christianity was more than being good and going to church. My life with Christ was to impact others.

God called me to the ministry while I was at summer camp on July 14, 1988. I did not know at that point exactly what He wanted me to do. I knew that He wanted me to minister, and I believed that He could use me as a doctor, which would fulfill both my life-long professional pursuit as well as my newly-answered calling. Despite an exceptional undergraduate grade-point average and an above-average entrance-exam score, every medical school to which I applied rejected me, one in fact stating I spoke of God too much during my interview. That door’s closing brought me straightforward into my seminary experience and full-time ministry. The ensuing years have been an amazing adventure of faith.

More than anything, God is teaching me again and again that He must be present in all that I do, and He must be the One doing the work. He and He alone is able to change the character of the people I am called to teach and to lead. Whatever role He gives, I know He has equipped me to teach and disciple those to whom He has called me. I pray to glorify Him by making disciples who will make disciples.

Kevin is a licensed professional counselor married 33 years to Krystal, the love of his life. They both grew up in church and met during a church event at Acadian Baptist Center in Eunice, Louisiana. Kevin grew up on a rice and soybean farm and was saved at Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church in Branch, Louisiana, at the age of 7. One year after graduating high school he joined the Air Force, and with their sense of humor, he was assigned to work with the U.S. Army as a TACP working with live ordinances and a variety of pyrotechnics.

Later, Kevin earned a B.A. degree from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He then served as senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Eunice for almost seven years while completing my master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has served as Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) director at Family & Youth, as well as a treatment provider for Calcasieu Parish Drug and DWI Court. Keith, along with his wife, Amy, and son Jackson, moved to Lake Charles three weeks before Hurricane Laura from Eunice, Louisiana. He joined the Trinity staff in the days following Laura and not only came to appreciate how much Trinity gave to the Lake Area but also how much this community pulled together. Keith came to Trinity after spending 13 years working for Acadian Baptist Center and 10 years working for LAS Fire & Safety, both in Eunice. Amy is a pharmacist, Jackson is a student at Barbe High School, and their daughter Alicia joined us recently to attend McNeese State University. They have three other children, Tyler, Matthew, and Faith.

Keith was raised as a preacher’s kid and came to know Christ personally at the age of 7 while attending Trinity Baptist Church in Biloxi, Mississippi. Keith and Amy have a passion for missions, just like many people here at Trinity. They have led several groups to El Salvador and made trips to Mexico and Kenya to share the gospel.

Keith loves serving here at Trinity and inherited a great staff led by Cinnamon, Bobby, and Victor. They do an incredible job of keeping Trinity looking good and running smoothly. Their goal is to create a distraction-free environment that will allow God to move in a mighty way in the lives of those who visit this campus each week.
