Children Connect 2018-05-30T21:38:52+00:00

Children learn how to do many things as they grow up. They learn to say the alphabet, tie their shoes, read, ride a bike, and swim. At Trinity Baptist Church, we believe that while children are learning, their foundation needs to be on God and His word. He is the focus of all our programs. Here they will learn about who God is and how His word applies to their lives, here and now. We work together with families to build strong relationships with God that will last through adulthood. We love partnering with families in ministry!

PRESCHOOL

Trinity’s Preschool Ministry exists to provide a safe and secure environment where preschoolers can learn about God and His love for us and parents can fully participate in their activities knowing their children are well taken care of.

Every Sunday morning while parents attend adult SMBS classes and a worship service, children within the age range of 8 weeks through PreK-4 have the opportunity to attend a preschool class at 9:15 am and 10:45 am. Rooms are organized by the preschooler’s development stage as well as the birth date.

NEW BABIES

Preschool Ministry absolutely loves to know when there are new babies on the way! If you attend Trinity and are expecting, please take a moment and email Kathryn Harp

PARENT DEDICATION
Trinity Baptist Church offers a special time for young families to learn what it means to dedicate their child to the Lord. Please attend a Parent Dedication Class. Once you have completed the class, you may sign up to be part of a Dedication Service on a Sunday Morning.

TRINITY KIDS PRESCHOOL

Formerly “Mothers’ Day Out”

“Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

Trinity Kids Preschool is a program of care and education for children, eight weeks of age until entrance into Kindergarten. Trinity provides a Christian environment for children to learn and grow. The Trinity Kids program is a part of the Preschool Ministry of Trinity and a vital aspect of the outreach ministry of the church to the community.

We offer one, two, three, or four days per week options through the Fall and Spring semesters, and one, two, or three days per week during the summer.

Trinity Kids meet each week on Sundays for Bible Study Classes and a Worship time, designed just for their age group. We sing high-energy worship songs, memorize Scripture, and participate in interactive Bible teaching.

WORSHIP TIMES
The Summit | 9:15am (3rd-5th)
Kid Konnection | 10:45am (K-2nd)

Children have a special place at Trinity! We have two age-specific worship services: Kid Konnection for kindergarten through second grade at 10:45am and The Summit for third through fifth graders at 9:15am. A usual morning consists of singing some upbeat songs to praise God, a creative story, and skits. We meet in the Children’s Worship Theater.

The Summit is our worship service designed for 3rd – 5th graders.  We meet in the Children’s Worship Theater from 9:15 till 10:30.  A normal morning of worship consists of TK News, some praise and worship songs, games, small group application activities, and an object lesson. After The Summit students attend Bible study classes from 10:30 till 12:00.

Awana is a discipleship club that combines fun and learning to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement. The acronym A.W.A.N.A. comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). In Awana, children have the opportunity to dive into and memorize God’s Word, hang out with friends, and play fun games. AWANA meets on Sunday evenings during the school year at 5:30 pm.

CUBBIES (PRESCHOOL)

Awana Cubbies is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ! Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand. They learn and grow through games, scripture memorization and all around Preschool fun! Awana Cubbies meet on Sunday Nights during the school year from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm.

Note to Cubbie Parents: This organization also presents you with several different opportunities to get involved with your preschooler’s ministry. For more information contact the Preschool Ministry at (337) 480-1555.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

Our mission is to train up the next generation of worshipers and church music leaders, and our goal to accomplish this mission is to teach children vocal and musical skills with which to worship and glorify Christ, while using music as a means of learning and applying the Bible’s truths to their lives. Our mission and goal are accomplished by the preparation of two children’s musicals per year, presenting one at Christmas and the other in late spring.

Praise Brigade is offered on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 5:45 to 6:45 pm for children in grades K through 5.

SUMMER AT THE FAMILY PLACE

FAMILY POINT

LEADING YOUR FAMILY

Every believing parent hopes his or her child will embrace the faith and grow deep spiritual roots. But studies tell us that over half of those growing up in Christian homes will walk away from Christianity by the time they leave the teen years – never to return. Too often, parents “outsource” the spiritual formation of their children to the church. And while a good church is very important, God designed the family to be the primary place where faith is nurtured.
